How to Choose Your Perfect bareMinerals bareSkin Shade. Jessica Foust, bareMinerals Executive, shows you how to choose your perfect bareMinerals bareSkin shade!
Hi I'm Jessica with bareMinerals. And I'm here to show you something so new, so innovative, it's like nothing you've ever felt before. Introducing bareMinerals bareSkin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation SPF20.
From the very beginning, we have been on a crusade to provide women with good-for-you alternatives to foundation rooted in a less is more philosophy.
Created with exceptional purity in mind, this ultra-thin, skin-perfecting fluid is a tone-correcting foundation and skincare serum in one. Made with the bare minimum ingredients, this mineral infusion is formulated without water, oil, silicone, parabens or fragrance.
And it works to deliver a brighter, more youthful appearance while providing seamless, adjustable coverage with a natural finish.
It's a combination that breaks liquid barriers—we did it our way.
The only thing that stands between your skin and this skin-perfecting foundation is finding the right shade for you! I'm here to help you with some tips on choosing your bareSkin Foundation shade:
Envision a rainbow of foundation shades, from lightest to darkest and visualize where your skin tone falls in that rainbow. This is essentially telling you what shade range you fall into: Light, Medium, Tan, or Dark/Deep.
Once you determine where you fall in the rainbow and your shade range, the next step is to determine if your skin tone is cool, neutral, or golden.
Skin tone is the undertone color that your skin emits. "What is skin tone? (The undertone color that your skin emits) What is Cool? (Pink) What is neutral? (Combination of Cool & Golden) What is golden?" (Yellow, Olive, Red; In deeper skins -- Cool can look blue, Neutral can look purple & Golden can look red
You want to create the perfect blend between your face and your neck.
COOL skin appears pinkish in tone.
GOLDEN skin appears yellow-olive in tone.
If your skin appears neither too pink nor too yellow-olive in tone, then you have a NEUTRAL skin tone with a blend of both.
TIP: Can't figure out your skin tone? Here's another way to think about it.
If you burn when you go out in the sun you are probably Cool, if you tan you are probably Golden, and if you burn first, but it will turn into a tan, you are most likely neutral. This is not an exact science, but it seems to work pretty well
Ask yourself this.
Does your skin tend to burn then tan or does it tan easily when exposed to sun? If burns- then you are probably cool. If you tan easily, then you are golden. If you burn and then can achieve a tan, you are most likely neutral.
Once you have determined your shade family and skin tone, then you want to match the bareSkin Foundation shade that is within your shade range and skin tone.
